Derek Harris Appointed New CEO Of Community Youth Services

Community Youth Services (CYS) recently selected Derek Harris as its new chief executive officer (CEO). He will begin serving in the position on July 20 of this year.

Mr. Harris has been working for CYS for more than 16 years, including as Deputy Director, and has served in positions related to national and community service for more than 26 years. Additionally, Mr. Harris is a certified peer monitor for the Family and Youth Services Bureau, the Chair of the Thurston County Homeless Housing Hub, and the Chair of the Balance of State Continuum of Care – Youth Subcommittee.
