Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation: Inmates Sentenced Under the Three Strikes Law and a Small Number of Inmates Receiving Specialty Health Care Represents Significant Costs
May 18, 2010 The California State Auditor looked at the small number of inmates receiving specialty health care in fiscal year 2007-2008. Specialty health care providers received $529 million for services provided to inmates.
