Children’s Mental Health Clinic Opens In New Orleans East

Metropolitan Human Services District (MHSD) recently opened a new children’s clinic in New Orleans East, Louisiana. The new program, open as of mid-August, offers mental health and addiction disorder services to individuals ages 5 to 21.

The new behavioral health services are timely, as there has been a shortage of such in the area for an extended amount of time. The new facility—which will serve uninsured, the under-insured, and Medicaid-eligible individuals—joins Metropolitan’s other children’s services clinics in Algiers and Faubourg Marigny.
