Reston-Based SOC Telemed Acquires Behavioral Health Telemedicine Company

Reston, Virginia-based acute-care telemedicine company SOC Telemed (SOC) recently announced it has acquired behavioral health telemedicine firm JSA Health (JSA). The financial details of the purchase have not been disclosed.

With the transaction, SOC will be able to provide JSA with scalability and growth, while JSA will bring its established foothold in the telepsychiatry industry. As part of the acquisition, JSA’s founder and CEO, Dr. Avrim Fishkind, will be joining SOC as its general manager of behavioral health services, a role created specifically for him.
