Apple recently announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has its Apple Watch Series 4—a smart watch that can perform electrocardiograms (ECGs) with a new app. By detecting atrial fibrillation, as well as allowing the ability consumers to contact emergency services in the event of a fall, the app takes a large step in granting greater accessibility to care.
