Humana Expands Pact With Fitbit To Rein In Claim Cost

Humana Inc. (Humana) recently expanded its partnership—which initially materialized in 2013—with Fitbit, Inc. (Fitbit). The expanded partnership seeks to encourage and help consumers using Humana’s health insurance to live healthier, helping to prevent and manage chronic health conditions.

Under the expanded partnership Humana members will implement Fitbit Care, Fitbit’s health coaching solution that assists consumers in incorporating healthier behaviors into their lifestyle, as well as managing chronic and complex diseases, such as diabetes.
