Ascent To Shut Down Three Arkansas Care Centers In Next Month
Ascent Children’s Health Services (Ascent) recently announced that it will be shutting down three of its facilities on October 17. The locations that will be closing include Arkadelphia, North Little Rock, and West Memphis—three of the 10 locations listed on Ascent’s website.
The closures will leave more than 400 children who have special developmental or medical needs without therapeutic day care programs. According to a spokesperson for the Arkansas Department of Human Services, however, the closures will not change or disrupt any of these children’s eligibility to remain in the state’s Early Intervention Day Treatment . . .
