This motion was filed on September 14, 2018, by a group of 12 Ohio family members/guardians of individuals with intellectual/developmental disability (I/DD). The guardians seek to intervene in a class-action lawsuit protesting the state’s failure to prevent unnecessary institutional placement. The intervenors seek to prevent the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) from forcing individuals to move from their current placement at an Intermediate Care Facility (ICF) for I/DD.
