In-Home Medication Manager Platform Hero Launches To Consumers With $12 Million Backing

In-home medication adherence platform Hero recently launched after raising $12 million in Series A funding. The platform consists of three different components---a countertop device, a prescription refill service, and a digital app.

According to statements from Hero’s CEO, the platform aims to help both consumers and their caregivers to more conveniently and comfortably navigate through daily drug regimens. The countertop device gives adherence reminders, orders medication refills, and dispenses medications. Individuals and their caregivers may also use the platform to change the medication regimen and track refills.
