On-Demand Pharmacy Startup NowRx Raises $7 Million Series A Round Through Crowdfunding

On-demand pharmacy startup NowRx recently raised $7 million in a Series A round of funding, completed through crowdfunding platform SeedInvest. The company—which currently is licensed to fill prescriptions in California—plans on using the funding to expand outside of the state by early 2020, or sooner.

Since launching, NowRx has helped deliver more than 50,000 prescriptions to 8,500 consumers. The company reports about $5 million in annual revenue. In the near future, NowRx plans to begin opening new warehouses and pharmacy facilities to aid in its expansion plans.
