Minnesota Agency Awards $33 Million In School Mental Health Grants
The Minnesota Department of Human Services recently announced it is awarding $33 million total in state grants to serve students throughout the state. The grants—which will be distributed over the next three years—come as part of the Department’s School-Linked Mental Health program, which will serve more than half of schools in the state.
Each of the schools involved will receive $11 million per year over the three years of the program, which will be used to fund the hiring of mental health professionals who will provide counseling and intervention services in the school setting to students . . .
