June 14, 2010 A review of medical claim processing accuracy among seven large health plans found that one-in-five claims were processed incorrectly in February and March 2010. The review has been conducted for three years as part of the American Medical Association's (AMA) "Heal the Claims Process" campaign launched in 2008 with the goal of showing how claims administration affects the cost of health care.
