June 22, 2010 On June 22, 2010, the Hawaii Disability Rights Center (HDRC) filed a complaint against the state of Hawaii, Department of Health (DOH) to restore adult mental health services that were cut in 2009. HDRC alleged that the cuts deprived state residents of access to medication, treatment, and services they needed. HDRC also alleges that the new eligibility rules are void because they were adopted without following the Hawaii Administrative Procedures Act requirements.
