CMS Fact Sheet: Maternal Opioid Misuse (MOM) Model

This document was released on October 23, 2018, by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation (Innovation Center). The fact sheet describes a new Medicaid model of care to treat opioid misuse among pregnant and postpartum women. CMS anticipates releasing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) in early 2019 to solicit cooperative agreement applications from state Medicaid agencies and care delivery partners to implement the MOM Model.
