Discovery Behavioral Health Acquires Residential Facility In New Jersey

Discovery Behavioral Health (Discovery) recently announced it is acquiring Ambrosia Treatment Center (Ambrosia). Ambrosia is a Medford, New Jersey-based adult residential drug and alcohol addiction disorder treatment center.

As part of the transaction, Ambrosia will be rebranding to Pinelands Recovery Center. The bolstering of Ambrosia’s services resulting from the acquisition are timely, as Discovery notes a 36% increase in opioid overdoses in New Jersey from 2016 to 2017, a period of time when many other states experienced a slight decrease in such.
