CMS letter to State Medicaid Directors About the Expansion  of Medicaid

July 9, 2010 In July 2010, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid released letters to State Medicaid Directors and State Health Officials with guidance on the implementation of the Children's Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act of 2009 (CHIPRA) and the Affordable Care Act of 2010 (ACA). The CHIPRA letters included guidance on a new coverage option for lawfully residing immigrant children and pregnant women, as well as increased federal matching funds for translation and interpretation services.
