July 26, 2010 On July 26, 2010, the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) released a grant solicitation (CMS-1LI-11-001) to extend the Money Follows the Person (MFP) Rebalancing Demonstration to new states. By August 25, 2010, states should submit a voluntary notice of intent to apply for the grant. The response due date was set for January 7, 2010; awards announcements have been planned for February 28, 2011. The grant is expected to cover statesÂ’ MFP implementation activities from April 1, 2011, to March 31, 2016. CMS has anticipated making from five to 20 awards . . .
