Preliminary Injunction Filed in Berge vs. United States
September 2, 2010 The lawsuit was filed on behalf of United States military and retired military families who have children diagnosed with autism. The plaintiffs have challenged the U.S. Department of Defense health care policy of classifying applied behavior analysis (ABA), a technique used to correct or mitigate problem behaviors common with autism, as an educational intervention, not a medical intervention.
