On October 11, 2018, California Correctional Health Care Services released this document announcing the implementation of a comprehensive substance abuse disorder program. The document states the goal of the program as to reduce the substantial number of patients within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) who have substance and/or opioid use disorders (OUD).
