HCA Healthcare Purchases 24 Urgent Cares Centers

HCA Healthcare announced the purchase of 24 MedSpring urgent care centers from Fresenius Medical Care. Other terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The addition of the urgent care centers will provide more convenient access to health care in the Austin, Dallas, and Houston regions of Texas. As a result of the acquisition, HCA Healthcare has 160 urgent care centers across the country. The urgent care centers, located in Austin, Dallas and Houston, will be rebranded to CareNow Urgent Care, which is operated by HCA Healthcare and represents one of the largest urgent care networks in the country.
