Alberta Government Response to the Child Intervention System Review
October 15, 2010 On October 15, 2010, the government of Alberta, Canada said it would continue implementation of an outcomes-based performance management system for child welfare services in the province. The provinceÂ’s Children and Youth Services (CYS) has started a pilot of an Outcomes-Based Service Delivery model; the government plans include outcomes in social service contracts in the future. The model facilitates public reporting and accountability, program and policy evaluation, and the identification of promising practices and practices needing improvement.
