AHIP-ACLI Comments On Potential Federal Long-Term Care (LTC) Reforms To Improve Financial Security Of Americans

On August 3, 2019, America's Health Insurance Plans (AHIP) and the American Council of Life Insurers (ACLI) released these comments to the Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) Task Force of the United States Department of Treasury. The comments are in reference to potential federal long-term care (LTC) reforms and include a series of recommendations to the task force; AHIP and ACLI recommend launching a national educational campaign on LTC coverage, providing tax incentives to expand consumer access to LTC coverage, supporting legislation or regulatory guidance that would confirm and allow the payment of LTCI incidental benefits from LTCI . . .
