Parents of adult children with disabilities were asked about their adult childÂ’s living situation after aging out of services and supports provided through the school system. To frame disparities, their responses were compared to responses from parents of adult children without disabilities. To qualify for participation in the study, the adult child or adult with a disability would have had to have their disability prior to the age of 22; disabilities include Down syndrome . . .
