HHS Proposed Transparency In Coverage Rule

On November 15, 2019, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) released this proposed rule, 29 CFR Part 2590. The proposed rule sets forth proposed requirements for group health plans, and health insurance issuers in the individual and group markets, to disclose cost-sharing information upon request, including an estimate of such individual’s cost-sharing liability for covered items or services furnished by a particular provider.
