Federal Government Announces Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects and Centers Program: Field-Initiated Projects Grant Funding
December 6, 2010 On December 6, 2010, the U.S. Department of Education's National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) released a request for grant applications to develop new independent living assistive technologies for persons with cognitive disabilities. 11 companies were selected to receive 16 Phase I Small Business and Innovation Research (SBIR) grants.
