Google & NAMI Partner To Add Anxiety Self-Assessment Tool To Search
The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) announced a partnership with Google to provide access to mental health resources. As of May 28, 2020, when people in the U.S. search on Google for information about anxiety, they will have access to a clinically-validated questionnaire called the GAD-7 (Generalized Anxiety Disorder-7). The GAD-7 will show up in the knowledge panel—the box of information that displays key facts during a search—and also has medically-validated information about anxiety, including symptoms and common treatments.
