Description of Recommendations Adopted by the New York State Medicaid Redesign Team
February 24, 2011 On February 24, 2011, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo accepted a draft recommendations report from the Medicaid Redesign Team that will cap the states Medicaid expenditures at $15 billion. The reports 79 recommendations include initiatives intended to redesign and restructure the Medicaid program with a goal of improving the programs efficiency. The recommendations are based on ideas submitted by stakeholders and suggestions and feedback from members of the Medicaid Redesign Team.
