Description of Recommendations Adopted by the New York State Medicaid Redesign Team

February 24, 2011 On February 24, 2011, New York Governor Andrew M. Cuomo accepted a draft recommendations report from the Medicaid Redesign Team that will cap the state’s Medicaid expenditures at $15 billion. The report’s 79 recommendations include initiatives intended to redesign and restructure the Medicaid program with a goal of improving the program’s efficiency.
