Motion Regarding Los Angeles County’s Coordinated Service For Older Adults & Adults With Disabilities
On August 4, 2020, the Los Angeles Board of Supervisors voted to take the first steps toward creating a new county department dedicated to serving older adults (aged 60 and over) and adults with disabilities through the Purposeful Aging Los Angeles (PALA) Initiative. The goal is to centralize services to older adults, which are currently offered by a large number of county Departments.
