Orange County California Board of Supervisors Amendment to the Master Agreement for Provision of Penal Code 1210 Treatment Services, Extending the Contract by Six Months
March 15, 2011 On March 15, 2011, the Orange County, California Board of Supervisors extended a drug treatment and counseling program for 650 non-violent adult drug users through September 30, 2011. Funds for the program had been cut from the 2010 state budget, but a one-time a $3.2 million federal stimulus grant allowed the county to continue the program through March 31, with all unspent grant funds lapsing back to the California Emergency Management Agency (CEMA), which administers the federal funds.
