Founded in 1983, Resource Center for Independent Living (RCIL) provides independent living, educational, employment, and advocacy services for youth, adults, and older adults with disabilities in New York. Their mission is “to ensure a fully accessible, integrated society that enables full participation by people with disabilities.” RCIL is affiliated with At-Home Independent Care, a non-profit home care services organization that provides home health services to older adults, including medical, personal, and health care; assistance with activities of daily living (e.g., feeding, bathing, dressing, housekeeping); respite care; and nursing.
