Florida House Bill (HB) 155, An Act Relating to the Privacy of Firearm Owners
June 2, 2011 Florida House Bill 155 was signed into law on June 2, 2011; it instructs physicians to avoid asking patients about guns in the home and discussing gun safety. The law was intended to prevent health care professionals from “harassing” patients about gun ownership and gun safety and from discriminating against patients who own guns. The law permits patients to file a complaint with the state medical board if a health care professional asks whether the patient owns guns or discusses gun safety concerns. Download the Report . . .
