July 1, 2011 In July 2011, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) released a Statistical Brief comparing the pattern of medical care utilization and expenditures for men and women. The Brief uses data from the Medical Panel Expenditure Survey (MEPS) regarding medical expenditures associated with ten most costly conditions for men and women, age 18 and older in 2008.
