On June 24, 2021, the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (DHS) released this letter to the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) regarding Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) revocation of its approvals of the state's Medicaid work and community engagement requirements to maintain Medicaid eligibility. CMS had approved Arizona’s waiver on January 18, 2019.
