California DMHC Autism Coverage Agreement With Blue Shield of California
July 13, 2011 Blue Shield of California bowed to state managed care regulators and agreed to pay for behavioral therapy for children with autism enrolled in the plans’ health maintenance organizations (HMO). The company will cover a minimum of six months of treatment, if deemed “medically necessary” by a health care professional. Blue Shield signed this agreement on July 11. Download the Report . . .
