CAADS Media Statement Describing Frustration With Medi-Cal Plans to End Adult Day Health Care Services
August 22, 2011 The California Association for Adult Day Services (CAADS) condemned the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) for aspects of its plans to transition people with disabilities receiving Adult Day Health Care (ADHC) services to Medicaid managed care plans. ADHC enrollees were required to select a managed care plan between August 18 and September 16, or they would be assigned to one. CAADS said the patients need more time to select the correct Medi-Cal managed care health plan. The state plans to completely transition the ADHC services to the managed care plans by December 1, 2011 . . .
