The State of Foundation Performance Assessment: A Survey of Foundation CEOs
September 15, 2011 The Center for Effective Philanthropy (CEP) conducted a survey of chief executive officers (CEOs) leading U.S.-based foundations that give $5 million or more in grants annually. The survey results were compared to a 2000 CEP survey on the same topic. For the 2011 survey, 173 CEOs responded. The analysis found that over the decade foundations have increased efforts to assess organizational performance and impact.
