Dementia State Plan: Virginias Response to the Needs of Individuals With Dementia & their Caregivers
October 1, 2011 The Virginia Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Commission developed the plan on behalf of the state of Virginia to inform legislators about the state's current capacity for dementia care services. The Commission was charged with identifying the current capacity and recommending goals for strengthening the state's ability to serve affected individuals and families. The recommendations address the coordination of quality dementia services, utilizing dementia related data, increasing awareness, creating training, providing access to quality coordinated care, and expanding resources for research.
