California Realignment — Adult Inmate Average Daily Population Projections by County
October 1, 2011 As part of its effort to reduce prison overcrowding, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is shifting responsibility for about 25,000 low-level offenders to the county jail and probation systems. This document presents CDCR's county-level estimates of the number of additional inmates and parolees to be supervised by the counties.
