United Health Foundation Awards $2 Million Grant To Non-Profit HealthNet For Mobile Health Initiative
The United Health Foundation, the philanthropic foundation of UnitedHealth Group, awarded HeathNet, Inc., in Indiana a $2 million, three-year grant intended to fund a new mobile health initiative to reduce disparities in access to primary and behavioral health care. The mobile initiative will serve rural Morgan and Monroe counties in Indiana, as well as high-poverty areas in Indianapolis.
Starting in February 2022, the mobile health unit has been visiting neighborhoods in the target areas four days per week. It provides the following services:
Primary care, preventive services and mental health screenings
