November 1, 2011 In Indiana, there are over 20,000 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities on the waiting list for home and community-based services. The Arc of Indiana (The Arc) recommended that the state revise its Medicaid waiver to focus on helping working-age adults with disabilities find paid employment or volunteer work outside the home.
