CMS Offers Over $110 Million To Expand Medicaid’s ‘Money Follows The Person’ Program To 20 New States

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is offering funding to expand the Medicaid Money Follows the Person (MFP) program. For the expansion, CMS issued a new Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) that will make individual awards of up to $5 million available for more than 20 states and territories not currently participating in the MFP. The total available funding is more than $110 million.

States awarded funds can use them to support initial planning and implementation. These activities include:
