Massachusetts General Laws: Part I, Title XVIII, Chapter 127, Section 17B: Medication-Assisted Treatment For Opioid Use Disorder For State Detainees Or Prisoners At Certain Facilities

On April 13, 2018, the state of Massachusetts published this General Law: Part I, Title XVIII, Chapter 127, Section 17B regarding medication-assisted treatment for opioid addiction for state detainees or prisoners at certain facilities. The law calls for  medication-assisted treatment for opioid addictionat the Massachusetts alcohol and substance abuse center, the Massachusetts correctional institution at Framingham or the South Middlesex correctional center. The medication-assisted treatment program shall not be required to be administered in any other state correctional facility . . .
