California Opens Medi-Cal To Undocumented Californians Age 50 & Over
On May 1, 2022, the California Medicaid program (Medi-Cal) opened enrollment eligibility to adults 50 years of age or older of any immigration status. All other Medi-Cal eligibility rules, including income limits, still apply. The expansion is due to state legislation, the health care trailer bill, signed by the governor in July 2021.
