Illinois Public Act 101-0237 (Ta’Naja’s Law)

On August 12, 2019, the Illinois Legislature enrolled this Public Act 101-0237, termed "Ta'Naja's Law". This act establishes that when a Mandated Reporter makes a report to the State Central Register, and there is a prior indicated report of abuse or neglect or there is a prior open service case involving any member of the household, that the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) must minimally accept a report as a child welfare services referral . . .
