California Senate Bill of 2022 was signed into law on June 30, 2022. The provisions are focused on expanding health care access. The key provisions are as follows:

Expand Medicaid eligibility to state residents ages 26 to 49 regardless of immigration status.
Establish the Office of Health Care Affordability to develop cost targets for the health care industry and impose consequences
Provide grants to reproductive care provider organizations to expand access, improve clinical infrastructure and more to prepare for the expected influx of women from out of state seeking care.
