Los Angeles County Criminal Justice Coordination Committee November 2011 Update on Public Safety Realignment Implementation

December 15, 2011 The report highlighted Los Angeles County’s efforts and early outcomes implementing the Public Safety Realignment Act of 2011 during the first two months. The Countywide Criminal Justice Coordination Committee provided statistics on how many former state prison inmates have been transferred to the county for supervision, how many have been identified as having mental health or addiction treatment needs, how many have been referred to treatment, and how many have applied for other social service assistance.
