Chicago’s Holy Cross Plans To Add Inpatient Mental Health Unit
Sinai Health System is proposing to add a new inpatient mental health unit at Holy Cross Hospital, a move aimed at addressing a shortage of services on the Southwest Side for the mentally ill. The unit would have 50 beds and would increase the overall bed count at Holy Cross, which Sinai Health acquired in January 2013, to 286 from 274, according to an application submitted last week to the Illinois Health Facilities Services and Review Board.
