Texas Health Resources, Blue Cross Blue Shield To Partner On Accountable Care Organization
Circle Connections: Mergers & Acquisitions Seeking to improve quality and lower the cost of medical care, Texas Health Resources and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas said they are joining forces to offer what they say will be one of the largest accountable care organizations in the country. Texas Health already has two accountable care groups for Medicare – the federal program for those over age 65 – and an agreement with Methodist Health System to cooperate on accountable care initiatives.
