Illinois’ West Suburban Health Systems Plan To Merge
Circle Connections: Mergers & Acquisitions Two of the largest hospital systems in the western suburbs announced that they plan to merge, creating one of the largest health systems in the Chicago area, with more than $1 billion in annual revenue. Naperville-based Edward Hospital & Health Services has agreed to merge with Elmhurst Memorial Healthcare in Elmhurst, forming a dominant system in DuPage County, with three hospitals, more than 50 outpatient offices, 7,600 employees and 1,680 physicians on staff, the companies said.
