Oakwood Healthcare Signs Joint Venture Deal With Vibra Healthcare For Two Long-Term Acute Care Facilities

Dearborn-based Oakwood Healthcare and Vibra Healthcare of Mechanicsburg, Pa., have signed an agreement to jointly operate a 40-bed long-term acute care unit on the second floor of Oakwood Hospital-Taylor, formerly called Oakwood Heritage Hospital, and a similar 52-bed facility operated by Vibra in Lincoln Park. Under a five-year agreement, Vibra is leasing the 17,000-square-foot floor at Oakwood's hospital in Taylor for about $5 million, according to a certificate-of-need application approved last month by the Michigan Department of Community Health.
